I found this incredibly interesting thanks Chris. The power of the mind is truly amazing. Although I have to say that perhaps the fact that we are supposed to be able to trust our doctor to give us the correct medication to cure our ills might have a slight reason behind this phenomenon. But you would certainly be very hacked off if you found out that you had been given sugar pills, on the other hand if it did cure you, what's the problem.
Yes thanks Chris, but I am in awe that this sort of practice even exists!! Meaning... if a doctor intentionally plans on using this 'Placebo Effect' treatment on a patient, without the patient knowing, regardless of how nice they make the environment feel... and makes the patient comfey...bla bla bla... but the patient is still unaware they are having some 'fake' medical procedure or pill... I'd feel pretty ripped off! and worse still, what if something went wrong? But then on the other hand, if this type of practice is working and having positive results... then I just say 'wow'.
